Why do creator series cost 2.5 times more, and is it worth it?
Standard Candy Shorts cost 12 tokens per locked episode, 36 tokens to finish a five-episode series. Creator series cost 30 tokens, 90 to finish, which is 2.5 times as much. We haven’t seen Candy explain the gap, but the sensible reading is that you are paying for the licensed creator’s name. In dollars, at the token rates implied by Candy’s plans (checked October 2026), one creator episode costs about $1.20 on the yearly plan, $2.70 on the three-month plan and $4.20 on the monthly plan.
