The platform is run by a registered company, EverAI Limited in Malta, takes standard card and crypto payments with discreet billing, and publishes its cancellation and refund terms. Yes, with caveats. Candy AI is a legit product run by EverAI Limited, a registered Malta company (no. C107181), with Visa, MasterCard and crypto payments, discreet billing and published refund terms. The real risks are look-alike sites, mod APKs, fake promo codes and forgetting that plans auto-renew. Use candy.ai only and set a renewal reminder.

Is Candy AI legit? Who runs it
Yes, it is a real company with a name and an address. Candy AI is operated by EverAI Limited, registered in Malta under company number C107181, at 56 Central Business Centre, Triq Is-Soll, Santa Venera SVR 1833. Support runs through support@candymail.ai and a Help Center at everai.zendesk.com. Candy says support is available 24/7 through Zendesk and that it is “Trusted by 50 million people worldwide”; we can’t verify either claim, but both fit a business that expects customers and complaints.
“Is Candy AI real?” has two answers. The product is real and billable. The characters are not: they are AI, and Candy’s terms say every exchange with them is fictional and that they have no genuine emotions. The exception is the licensed creator twins, which are official AI versions of real creators, as our digital twins hub explains. We’re an independent guide and not affiliated with Candy or EverAI Limited.
Is Candy AI a scam? Legit signals vs red flags
Scam sites share habits. Setting Candy next to those habits makes the difference visible:
| Check | Legit signal (what Candy has) | Red flag (what to avoid) |
|---|---|---|
| Operator | Named company, registration number and address in Malta | No company name, address or support email |
| Domain | candy.ai (Shorts also appear at candyshorts.com) | Look-alike names, extra hyphens or odd endings |
| Pricing | Published plans: $3.99, $8.99 and $9.99 a month | “Free premium” or a “free trial code”, or prices far below Candy’s |
| Payment | Visa, MasterCard and crypto; Candy says transactions are encrypted | Gift cards, bank logins or paying outside the checkout |
| Cancellation | Settings, then Unsubscribe; published refund terms | No visible way to cancel |
| Access | Browser and web app; no store listing | “Mod APK” downloads or “cracked” accounts |
| Rules | Community Guidelines, Blocked Content Policy, DMCA and complaint policies | No terms, or “leak” pages reposting content |
On every row, Candy sits in the middle column. That is why we call it legit while keeping the caveats below in view.
Is Candy AI safe to pay for? Payments and billing
The checkout takes Visa, MasterCard and a range of crypto coins, including BTC, ETH, USDC and Litecoin. Candy says it encrypts transactions and keeps billing discreet, so the charge carries a neutral merchant name that doesn’t point to Candy AI. We can’t see your statement, so we can’t tell you the exact text. The practical side effect is that you should keep your own record of the plan and renewal date.
Money you’ve already paid is harder to recover than money you haven’t. Outside the EU and UK, Candy refunds card payments only, requires the request within 24 hours of payment, and denies it if you’ve used more than 20 tokens. Token packs are refundable only within 24 hours, only if unused and only by card. EU and UK buyers instead have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the initial purchase, by email to support@candymail.ai. If recoverability matters to you, pay by card. The plan prices are on our Candy AI pricing page, and the cancellation steps are in our cancel guide.
One more distinction: discreet is not anonymous. A neutral merchant name keeps the charge from announcing itself on a statement, but Candy still knows your account email and payment, and any age verification it asks for. Discretion protects you from a glance at your bank app, not from the company that runs the service.
Is Candy AI trustworthy with your data? Privacy and GDPR
Candy says it follows GDPR-compliant data privacy standards. We can’t audit that, and we’d rather say so than repeat a marketing line as fact. What we can do is give you a sensible operating stance: treat your chats as stored by a company, not by a diary.
- Don’t type real identifiers into chats: full name, address, workplace, passwords or ID documents.
- Use an email address you’re comfortable having tied to the account.
- Expect an age check: Candy may ask users to verify or re-verify that they are adults.
- Know that Candy’s terms don’t refund moderation actions or characters and content that get removed or modified.
Candy’s legal pages, listed at candy.ai/legal-information, are the place to read the privacy and data terms in full before you decide.
Adults only: age checks, content rules and zero tolerance
Candy is for adults, 18 and over. It has zero tolerance for CSAM and publishes a set of policies covering the rest: Community Guidelines, a Blocked Content Policy, a Content Removal Policy, an Underage Policy, a DMCA policy, a Complaint policy and a 2257 exemption statement, all at candy.ai/legal-information. All characters on the platform are adults and the content is AI-generated fiction; stepfamily premises in Shorts are fictional and not between blood relatives.
That framework is part of why the platform is safe to use rather than just safe to pay. If you’re wondering what adult content Candy actually allows across chat, images and video, our Candy AI NSFW guide covers it without graphic description.
Where the real risks are
Look-alike sites
The official domain is candy.ai. A near-match name asking for card details is a phishing page. Type the address yourself instead of following an ad.
“Leak” sites and reuploads
Full Shorts series exist only on Candy. Reuploads are cut down, poor quality, often removed, or a lure for scams and malware. See our page on Candy Shorts leaks for what’s safe instead.
Mod APKs and “cracked” premium
Candy’s FAQ says there is nothing to install, and it is not distributed as an App Store or Google Play app; it installs as a web app from the official site. A downloadable “Candy AI APK” is unofficial, unsafe and against the Terms of Service. Our Candy AI app guide shows the safe install.
Fake promo codes
We know of no working promo code, and the 70% yearly discount needs none. Sites listing “verified” codes are bait. Our promo code page explains the real deals.
Auto-renewal surprises
Every plan renews at the same price and term. Monthly renews at $13.99; yearly renews at $47.88 for another 12 months. A discreet billing name makes it easier to forget. Cancel auto-renew in Settings the day you buy if you only want one period.
Expectations
Candy’s characters are AI with no genuine emotions, per its own terms. Enjoy the fiction, but don’t treat a chat as advice or a relationship. Is Candy Shorts legit too? Yes: it’s Candy’s own series library, and our Candy Shorts review covers whether it’s worth the tokens.
Protecting your Candy AI account
Most account problems come from the user side. A few habits cover nearly all of it:
- Use a password you don’t use anywhere else. Reused passwords are how accounts get taken over.
- Log out on shared or work devices, and lock your phone screen, since a home-screen shortcut opens straight to the site.
- Add the home-screen shortcut from candy.ai only. Share, then Add to Home Screen, from the official page.
- Ignore messages that ask for your password or card. Candy’s own support runs through support@candymail.ai and the Help Center at everai.zendesk.com; treat other senders with suspicion.
None of this is specific to Candy, but adult-themed services are common phishing bait, so it is worth ten minutes of care.
Safe-use checklist: 7 steps before you pay
- Type the address yourself. Go to candy.ai directly, not through an ad, a “promo” email or a forum link.
- Check the price. Yearly is $47.88, quarterly $26.97, monthly $9.99 for the first month and then $13.99 (October 2026, before any local tax). Anything far cheaper is suspect.
- Choose your payment method on purpose. Card keeps the 24-hour refund option open; crypto is outside that rule.
- Note the renewal date. Put a reminder in your calendar a few days before it.
- Cancel auto-renew early if you want one period. Settings, then Unsubscribe; Premium continues until the paid period ends.
- Keep chats free of real personal data. No ID, address or passwords.
- Know where to go if something’s off. Email support@candymail.ai or use the Help Center at everai.zendesk.com, and do it inside the 24-hour refund window if money is involved.
Bottom line: is Candy AI safe to use?
Our verdict: Candy AI is legit and reasonably safe to use for adults who buy on the official site, pay knowingly and watch the renewal date. It earns trust on operator, pricing and rules, and loses points on a short refund window and a privacy claim we can’t audit.
If you’re ready to try it, start with the free Shorts episodes to see the product before you pay, or go to Candy’s subscription page for the plans. Either way, read the full Candy AI review first if you want the feature-by-feature scores.
Frequently asked questions
Is Candy AI a scam?
No. Candy AI is operated by EverAI Limited, a Malta-registered company with a published address, support email and policies, and it takes standard card and crypto payments. Scams around it are look-alike sites, fake promo codes and mod APKs, so use only candy.ai and read the renewal terms before paying.
Is Candy AI safe to use on my phone?
Yes, when you use the official site. Candy runs in your phone’s browser and can be pinned to the home screen as a web app through Share and Add to Home Screen. It has no App Store or Google Play listing, so any app download that claims to be Candy AI is unofficial and should be avoided.
Will Candy AI show up on my bank statement?
Candy says billing is discreet: charges appear under a neutral merchant name with no direct reference to Candy AI. We can’t confirm the exact wording on any statement. Because the name is neutral, keep your own note of the plan, price and renewal date.
Does Candy AI keep my chats private?
Candy says it follows GDPR-compliant privacy standards, but we can’t audit how chats are stored or used. Treat conversations as held by a company: don’t share ID documents, addresses or passwords with a character, and read Candy’s legal pages for the full privacy terms.
Can anyone under 18 use Candy AI?
No. Candy is for adults only (18+), may ask users to verify or re-verify that they are adults, and has zero tolerance for CSAM and publishes an Underage Policy among its legal pages. All characters are adults, and everything on the platform is AI-generated fiction under Candy’s published content policies.
Can I get my money back if I don’t like Candy AI?
Sometimes. Outside the EU and UK, request a refund within 24 hours of payment; it is denied if you’ve used more than 20 tokens, and only card payments qualify. EU and UK buyers get a longer window of 14 days from the first purchase, with the request going to support@candymail.ai.
