Does Candy AI have an app? What we found
Not a store app, as far as we can tell. Candy works in the browser and installs as a web app, which is also called a PWA (progressive web app). Candy’s FAQ says you don’t need to install anything, and its mobile instruction is to tap Share and then Add to Home Screen to get the app and notifications. Candy doesn’t point to any App Store or Google Play listing, we found none, and we won’t claim one exists.
That answers the common searches in one go. “Candy AI app store” and “Candy AI Google Play” lead nowhere official, “Candy AI download” has nothing to download, and “does Candy AI have an app” is answered by the home-screen version. The official domain is candy.ai, with Candy Shorts also using candyshorts.com. Treat any other site or file claiming to be the Candy app as a look-alike, the same way you would treat “leaked” Shorts downloads (our leaks guide explains why).
Candy AI app on iPhone: add it to your Home Screen
This is Candy’s own method, written out. Your iOS version may change the labels slightly.
- Open Candy in Safari. Go to candy.ai and log in, or open Candy directly.
- Tap Share. It is the square icon with an arrow in Safari’s toolbar.
- Choose Add to Home Screen. You may need to scroll the share sheet to find it.
- Confirm the name. Keep the suggested name or edit it, then tap Add.
- Open it from the icon. If a notification prompt appears, decide whether to allow it.
Candy AI app on Android: install from the browser menu
Android is similar, though the exact wording depends on your browser and its version. Candy hasn’t published browser-specific instructions that we could verify, so these steps stay generic.
- Open Candy in your browser. Chrome is the usual choice. Go to candy.ai and log in.
- Open the browser menu. In most browsers this is the three-dot icon.
- Pick Add to Home screen or Install app. The label varies; either one adds Candy as an icon.
- Confirm. Accept the prompt, and the icon appears on your home screen or in the app drawer.
- Launch it. Allow notifications if you want them.
If neither option appears, update your browser, or try another one. Nothing in this process involves downloading an APK file.
Notifications, login and what the web app can do
Candy says that adding it to your home screen is how you get the app and notifications. Candy doesn’t publish a list of which notifications it sends, so we won’t guess; what you receive depends on the permission you grant. You can change that later in your device or browser settings. On iPhone, support for web notifications also depends on your iOS version.
The installed icon opens the same site, so what you can do inside it follows your account: chat (with the free 5-message limit or unlimited text on Premium), the image and video tools, and Shorts, which you can also open straight from Candy. Candy AI mod APK and cracked downloads: don’t use them
Warning: Candy AI has no official APK that we know of. Any “Candy AI mod APK,” “cracked” build or “unlimited messages” download is unofficial, unsafe and against Candy’s terms.
The risks are concrete. Files from unknown sources can carry malware or steal your login and payment details, and using one breaks Candy’s terms, which puts your account at risk. Never type your Candy password or card number into an app you sideloaded. And the promise is hollow: your Premium status, tokens and message limits live on your Candy account, so as far as we can tell a modified file on your phone can’t legitimately change them. “Free Premium” or “unlimited tokens” claims are bait.
