What is Sworn to the Queen about?
In this court one law outranks the rest: touching the queen is punishable by death. So when the 22-year-old queen assigns the lowest-born guard in the castle to stand outside her bedchamber, every night becomes a sentence he might not survive, and she keeps daring him anyway. Episode 1 gives the guard a name, Kale, and the court’s verdict on him: a former stable hand dropped into the Queensguard, the one nobody wanted. The queen is addressed only as Your Grace.
The setting is the selling point. Most of Candy Shorts plays out in modern homes, offices and campuses, with the Taboo tag on 55 of the 129 public series and stepsister and stepmom hooks all over the library. This one swaps all that for castle corridors, titles and a power gap built on rank instead of family. Candy tags it Fantasy and Taboo, and only 10 public series carry the Fantasy tag. The tone is courtly and tense, a dare dressed as protocol, and every character is an adult, original Candy AI creation.

Episode 1 (56 seconds) is pure setup, and efficient. A warning opens it: touching the queen is punishable by death. A former stable hand has made the Queensguard, and someone sneers that he’ll be back mucking stalls by nightfall. Instead the queen asks his name, Kale, notes that he is the one nobody wanted, and calls that perfect: he guards her bedchamber from tonight. Asked why, she says that when she looks at him, he looks back. Then comes the loophole: the law bars him from touching her, but “it says nothing about me touching you.” She ends by claiming him for the night.
Episode 2 Free · sign-up
Episode 2 is free with a sign-up and is built to make good on “Tonight, you’re mine.” Candy says she keeps daring him, so expect the nights outside her bedchamber to test how long Kale can keep to the law while she bends it, with the heat rising as the dares get riskier. How the court reacts, we can’t say.
Three episodes stay locked at 12 tokens apiece, so the story costs 36 tokens to finish, about $1.44 on the yearly plan as of October 2026. Because the premise is a dare with a death penalty attached, expect the locked episodes to cash in the tension: the queen’s dares should escalate until something has to give, and the series should turn from teasing to its most charged scenes. Candy doesn’t say how it ends, and neither will we. Start Sworn to the Queen on Candy; episode 1 needs no account.

Sworn to the Queen review: is it worth unlocking?
Our verdict: one of the best-written free episodes on Candy Shorts, a genuine change of scenery and a top-tier 36-token pick. If you are tired of stepfamily setups, this is the palate cleanser. The dialogue is the draw: terse, formal and loaded, with the queen’s loophole speech doing more seduction than a minute of banter could. The courtly register gives every line a second meaning, and Kale’s reply when she remarks on his racing pulse, that it comes with the post, sells a character in one beat.
Pacing is excellent. At 56 seconds this is one of the shortest openers in the catalog (only 10 of the 127 we measured are shorter), yet a law, a chosen guard and a dare are all in place with no filler. Chemistry rests on an inversion of power: the queen pursues, the guard is trapped by the rules, and the tension lives in his restraint. We put the heat at 3 of 5, a slow, dangerous seduction, and expect the locked episodes to cash it in. The limit is length: five episodes leave little room for court politics.
Value seals it: about $1.44 on the yearly plan, where 1,200 tokens would cover 33 series like this. YES MA’AM plays a similar rank-reversal game on a military base, but it carries the Milf and Nympho tags and runs 20 episodes for 216 tokens, so it is the hotter, longer commitment; this is the tight, courtly one. Read how the free episodes work before you sign up.
Heat level 3/5 (our estimate): Our estimate: 3 of 5. Candy tags it Fantasy and Taboo, the premise is a queen daring a guard to risk his life, and the free episode is all charged dialogue. Expect a slow, dangerous seduction with steamy payoffs, not an explicit opener.
